Going up the mountain pass towards Bica da Cana (ER110) this evening I was steamrolled by this view. You can actually see all the highest peaks of the island in this photo, including Areeiro (1818 m) & Ruivo (1862 m).

Walking around the big city at night presents so many different angles and situations and lights and… The Shanghai Tower in the middle is 632m, has the world’s highest observation deck (in a building) and the world’s fastest elevators at a top speed of 20.5 metres per second.

There are many rooftop bars in Shanghai but only very few have this kind of view! And I was surprised to learn that at 23h the “lights” of the skyline are actually switched off (to save power). Unfortunately I had only my phone with me on that trip.
